My story is one that I know began with a dream! As a young girl, I found myself decorating everyone's home as I entered in. I would ask of course, but it began to be fun and exciting to me and my family. As a young women in college with two beautiful daughters, I was desiring the best for Symphony & Harmony. I completed my BFA in Interior Design and my MBA in Global Business many moons ago. As founder and owner of My II Reasons for Design, I began my journey of designing and decorating homes and businesses in Atlanta, Ga., my hometown.

 

After marriage and a new baby boy; Winston, I created the same amazing business in Texas an designed and decorated homes and businesses. I started arts clubs, opened a coffee café and designed homes and businesses, all while, being a an active army wife, raising three children, being President of PTA,  and designing Texas. After fifteen years of design in two states the business moved to Sunny Florida. Now creating and designing for over 25 years, that dream was to inspire my clients to live and work in functional and organized spaces.

 

The unique moments of seeking and finding the perfect accessories and furniture pieces for my client’s spaces intrigued me to create my own interior goods. My Simply Maurita Candles and Simply Maurita Farmhouse Wood-Bead Garlands and Bottle/Vase Huggers are hand-crafted by me and made with love. This is the beginning of my online boutique. These items are my style of rustic & refined living, motivated by woody & floral outdoors scenic views.

 

My driven experienced was from road trips from childhood to traveling the world to over 7 countries, from Paris to Antigua my décor senses have always been stimulated by the Art I viewed and the architectural buildings I walked through. This year we will partner with "Her Scholarship Fund Inc" and allow proceeds to enhance the annual scholarship fund to a college student.
